Author & Illustrator

About

Jenn Kocsmiersky loves making picture books. She's a skilled and scrappy watercolorist and uses traditional and digital media to create her illustrations.

Jenn is a recipient of the 2018 Mentorship for Illustration and the 2016-7 Walter Dean Meyers Grant from We Need Diverse Books. She has been an enthusiastic member of SCBWI for five years - her art's been in the Bulletin's Art Spot and her illustration blog was featured on the SCBWI website.

Jenn lives in upstate New York with her two children, who ask her daily if she thinks they are "rambunctious scamps."  (Her answer is always "yes.")  She enjoys pottery (wheel-throwing) and periodically fermenting homemade kimchi in her friend's German pickling pot.
